Mirabay is a 750 acre master planned community on Tampa’s coast in Apollo Beach, FL. Construction began in Mirabay in 2002 and continues with a new round of construction taking place. It features low-maintenance homes, 1900 of which will be built by the time the area is completed in 2012. There will be numerous ‘villages’ within Mirabay, each more beautiful than the other, and all of them on or right near the water. Mirabay offers two gated entrances including the lagoon side and the direct access to the Bay canal side. Residents that live on the lagoon side of Mirabay get direct access to a 136 acre man made lake that offers fishing sailing, kayaking and canoeing.
Amenities offered include exercise facility, aerobics facility, full day spa services, on site restaurant, happy hour bar, full time activities director, 5 tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball courts, heated lap pool and resort style pool that includes water slides for the kids. They also offer a wonderful Outfitters Boating shop to get you in your nautical tips with help from out onsite Mirabay captain.
The MiraBay Village Center will be the heart of the community. There will be shopping, banking and even restaurants accessible without ever having to leave Mirabay itself. A movie theater and hotel are also in the works.
As part of the South Shore area of Tampa, residents of Mirabay also have access to local dining, malls and restaurants.
